Advance the Civic Voice and Well Being of Asian Americans
Asian American studies will help many organizations understand the civic voice needed to provide help to the Asians in our community. One organization striving to learn more with their Asian American studies is the Asian American Federation. The federation's design is to help advance the civic voice in America for Asians through collaborative efforts. These efforts are striving to help self employment through starting businesses. They are also doing a great deal of research to create new policies and support the community in an attempt to make things better for Asians.

This year alone the federation announced that they offered a community fund of $230,000 to help increase the grant awards that were offered in 2007 by 25 percent. The fund is to help in education, refurbishing homes, and providing jobs for Asians in the communities around the US. Through the Asian American studies the benefits being offered were streamlined to make sure they would be more helpful.

Further in Asian American studies poverty research was completed for New York City. New York City has one of the largest communities of Asians in the US. This community is by far the more impoverished according to the Asian American studies offered by the federation. The Census Bureau data should see that those in the Asian community live below Federal Poverty. With these studies offered in Asian American studies it is clear to see that some help is needed. Crime in the area of New York City is also rather high compared to other communities that are not as poor. Asians turn on others to survive outside of their community in most cases. As a whole the Asians believe in community support and trying to live within their faith, but harder times drive them to desperation in some cases.

Some good news has already come from the Asian American studies in the past year in an attempt to help Asians. From the Asian American studies Chinatown is going to be revitalized through organizational help like the Federation. There are obstacles to overcome in order to help improve the area. However, JP Morgan, Chase, CJ Huang, and other foundations are working toward providing the help needed. It is the Asian American studies that have made this possible.

For Asians struggling this revitalization news is most welcome. They need to have the support in their area in order to prosper just a little. Not only is the Federation going to be helping in a number of projects, but anyone who is interested in the Asian American studies and helping the Asians and their community the Federation has a multitude of ways. They do want input on other projects to help communities as well as the help to make sure it happens. With poverty rising due to economic times, any help offered is going to be well received. Allowing Americans to keep their homes, earn more wages, and be treated equal is imperative according to the Federation and those in leadership positions.
