Asian American Health Resources
Health care in the US is appalling when it is compared to many of the other countries around the world, such as the UK, Asia, and even Canada. That is not to say these other countries don't have their issues, but the one fact that remains true is that health care costs are more affordable with the health care system in other countries. It is easy to go in and get a health check up without being gauged. In the US many of the health care companies will actually charge more for services because a person has health insurance. Health education is paramount in the US. Health education must be offered to help us understand where the lacks are and find a solution. It is not just about the Asian American health when talking about health resources, but for now we will limit ourselves to the Asian American health.
Health education is showing us that for the most part many of the Asian Americans are healthier than other Americans. They are more motivated to get exercise and eat a proper diet. That is not to say that all health education has positive findings. Like many cultures there are certain diseases more prevalent in Asian Americans. However, for the most part Asian American health is better than other races.

Something else that is interesting is that the Asian culture seems to be more interested in health education. In other words a fair amount of the individuals in the health care and medical field are Asian. They seek health education to become doctors or researchers for disease. Many of those seeking health education have actually done so because of the Asian American health and their need to solve issues. The research department for medicines has a high amount of individuals studying Asian American health to prevent diseases in their own family members.

Here are some resources if you are interested in studying Asian American health. The first resource for the study of Asian American health is the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organization. They work to make sure that health education is provided. Furthermore you have APHA, APIC, APICHA, CSAAH, and NLM as sites for Asian American health resources and health education. Health education is imperative to seeing that a culture survives and is educated in the threats that might be around them.

Part of the education process is to learn why Asian American health is at a great level instead of where most Americans fall on the scale. Health education is showing us that it is the roots in the Asian culture that offers the most health. They have herbal supplements and healing methods that offer a better health. Then you combine the medicine from history that has been handed down to their eating habits and it is on a whole healthier. There are fried foods and a lot of rice, but eaten with vegetables and other healthier foods it makes for a great diet.
