At the moment the Asian culture is showing about 21 percent Catholic. There is a high percent of Agnostic at 20.2 percent. So, many of those in the Asian culture are not religious at all. There is a surprisingly low amount of Asia religion such as Buddhist, Muslim and Jewish in the Asian culture here in the US. In fact respectively the numbers read as 9.1, 5.8, and .04 percent. Protestant is the next highest Asia religion practiced in the US at 9.6 percent. That is very low compared to the top two practices in Asian culture.

Hinduism which used to be an extremely large faith and still is for the most part in Asia has not transferred to America. Many Asian Americans recognize the religion, but do not practice it in favor of Christian or more importantly Catholicism. Another reason why Catholicism may be so popular has to do with the demographics of Asian Americans in the US. As an Asian culture the Chinese and Filipinos are two of the largest with over a million in the US. The Filipino culture is one of the largest to be converted to Catholicism in the past. This makes it their main Asia religion.

The Japanese Asia religion is seen as mostly Shinto and Buddhist, but they are a very small community in the US at the moment. This is why Buddhist is on a smaller scale for religion in the US. For the Asian culture the distinctions in religious numbers is divided into where the individuals originated from. Since many have come from China and the Philippines the Catholic religion is definitely the most prominent.

An interesting religion not mentioned yet is that of Shamanist. South Koreans in the US do have 1 percent of Shamanist religion in the US. For those seeking religion in the US there are definitely a wide range of temples and churches to seek help with.
