The Best Sources for Asian American Scholarships
Getting an education is very important in the world we live in today. While it is true we can become over educated for some positions there are many more positions that you must have certain qualifications for. To better help you with your Asian education we have searched out scholarship programs that can help you get into a university and get that Asian education you want. The scholarship programs are not all specifically geared towards Asian Americans, but those listed here will be.

You can of course try for any scholarship programs that you find for your Asian education. In fact the more scholarship programs you try to receive the better chances you have of getting at least one of them. It is a tough world when you consider the hundreds of scholarships available and the millions of individuals who are looking for their education as well. So remember the scholarship programs listed here for your Asian education are just a few of those you can apply for.



The first Asian education scholarship programs you can apply for is with the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce. They have several scholarship programs for any Asian education that is being sought. They have an annual conference each year as well for students to talk with those hosting scholarships to be able to apply. There is a deadline for the scholarships of February 28th. To make sure you don't miss that deadline for your Asian education make sure you will post mark the scholarship application on or before that date. The earlier is not necessarily better, but it does ensure you get it in on time.

The next scholarship programs through USPAACC are the Asian American Scholarship. This program is for anyone who is of Asian descent and looking for an Asian education. You also have the Jao Foundation Scholarship, Bruce Lee Scholarship, Jackie Chan Scholarship, Ruth Mu-Lan Chu and James S.C. Chao Scholarship, Drs. Poh Shien and Judy Young Scholarship, and Telamon Scholarship, to name just a few.

There are also corporate Hallmark scholarship programs that you can take advantage of. There are some scholarship criteria for the Asian education you seek. A person must be 16 years old at the time and have Asian or Pacific heritage. They must also be citizens or permanent residents of the US. There must be full time study, and be able to attend an awards dinner. There are also academic needs that need to be met. A person applying must have a 3.3 GPA or higher, a leadership activity, community involvement, and have a financial need.

There are other scholarship programs that have not been discussed here in any length. These other programs can be found through the internet as well as books for Asian education needs. It is important to apply to as many scholarships as possible in your field of study as well as general applications as we mentioned above. Scholarships are not hard to find, so make sure you get the financial aid you need.
