Every human being has a different diet scheme. Some people were raised to eat smaller portioned meals with more protein than carbohydrates, whereas others were raised to eat the largest meals possible at least two to three times a day. In the Asian culture, it is very rare that one sees obesity becoming a problem, due to their diet and the nutritional values of the foods they consume. The more fast food restaurants that are coming up left and right in Asia, and the more Asian immigrants coming into America and turning toward the cheaper, less nutritional fast food, the higher the obesity rate is becoming in Asian Americans.
In the various Asian cultures, diets consist of a variety of foods and drinks of the highest nutritional value that cleanse various essential organs in the body that are in charge of detoxifying. Because of this, the people have a higher chance of living longer, and have a lesser risk of developing a life-threatening illness, disease, or cancer. Their diets consist of a copious amount of nutritional plants-based products, such as rice, wheat, fruits, vegetables, and even herbal matter for tea and various beers and wines. A diet containing mostly plant-based matter provides all of the needed vitamins, minerals, and nutritional value that many people do not consume on a daily basis. Furthermore, an average diet would have a lesser amount to absolutely no fat present, and almost no dairy. Most people frown upon the dairy-free diet, being that it is considered a number one way to defeat osteoporosis, when in fact these people that are consuming little to no dairy still get the vitamins and nutrients of the they need from other means, and have the lowest number of people with osteoporosis.
Fish, red meat, poultry, and eggs are all used either sparingly or moderately in the Asian diet. Meat does not contain the same nutritional value as the plant-based foods. It is related incidences of heart disease and failure, therefore each person living by this diet eats at most an hour or less of meat a day, and it is usually only used for flavoring a dish that is mainly plant-based food. Through the many ages of vegetarian dishes becoming popularized by this culture, there is not very much need for meat of any kind to flavor many of these meals. Spices and herbs are the most essential, and have more nutritional value and essential antioxidants than meat itself.
With these diets that consist of moderate to low amounts of certain foods and fats, the Asian culture is the healthiest. With the rise of the fast food industry spreading throughout the world, these basic diets are becoming lost among people and have them turning to foods with the lowest nutritional value, and increasing unhealthy habits. Immigrants that come in to this country that once ate the most nutritional meals come to America without being able to afford nutritional food, and therefore go for the less than healthy food alternative.
